To set a homepage in Google Chrome, you can do the following: 

  1. Open a new Chrome window
  2. Click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the browser window
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Appearance
  5. Toggle on the Show Home button option
  6. Type a URL in the text box
  7. Click the home button to see if it was changed
  8. Click Change next to the current page
  9. Select Open this page 

Here's how to change your home page in the new Microsoft Edge :

  1. Open Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more  > Settings .
  2. Select Appearance.
  3. Turn on Show home button.
  4. You can either choose New tab page or select Enter URL for a page that you want to use as your home page.
